About Rhonda Dicksion, CPSA, CPX, UKCPS
"One day a few years ago, hankering to create art, yet not wanting the fuss of paint, I discovered colored pencil. And so began a beautiful and joyful love affair with colored pencils that has totally transformed my my work and my world.
"It is magic when you find THE thing you are supposed to be doing. My work is a reflection of my love of line and color, subjects from the natural world which bring me joy or make me laugh, and I like to experiment with the many ways colored pencil can create marks unlike any other medium. That's why I usually employ outlining, fretting, and other unique marks. I've found that combining colored pencil with other media – sometimes unexpected media – can bring out the best of both."
Rhonda has earned CPSA and CPX signature status with the Colored Pencil Society of America and UKCPS status with the UK Colour Pencil Society. She is a juried member of the International Guild of Realism and American Women Artists.
Her work has appeared in International Artist Magazine, Ann Kullberg's COLOR Magazine, The Monroe Monitor, Artsy Shark, and Fine Art Connoisseur.
Books include Ready to Draw; Colored Pencil Treasures 5, 6, 7, 8; and Find Your Voice.
